One day after being sworn in on Jan. 5th, Gov. Rick Scott wasted no time announcing his appointment of Kurt Browning as Florida’s Secretary of State. Browning oversaw Florida’s 2012 elections. Prior to his appointment, Browning led "Protect Your Vote", a political committee largely bankrolled by the Republican Party of Florida and created to defeat Florida’s “Fair Districts” amendments 5 and 6.
